Frequently asked

What does this cost?+

It's all free during soft launch - generate, download, and print your own card. No catch.

How long does it take to generate a card?+

About 2-3 minutes. The site uses OpenAI's image model, which thinks carefully about composition, colors, and likeness. The wait is worth it - every card is one of a kind.

How do I print a card at home?+

Download the print-ready PDF. It's 8.5" × 5.5" landscape, designed to fold in half. Print on cardstock (any home printer that handles 8.5×11 paper works - just print on the right half), trim, and fold.

What if I'm not happy with how my card turned out?+

You can go back and adjust your inputs or try a different style - each generation comes out a little differently.

Is it safe to upload photos of my kids?+

Please only upload photos of people who would be comfortable with their image being used to make a card. The photo is sent to OpenAI for generation and OpenAI's content policies apply to every generation.

Who's behind this?+

Hi, I'm Gabriel, a data consultant in LA. The card aisle at CVS had gotten increasingly depressing to me, and around the same time I was learning to code with Claude Code. So I built this - for myself, and for anyone who wants to make something fun and personal for the people they love. The part I love most is the DIY: download the PDF and print it at home on cardstock right away. I've made 20+ for friends and family, and they land because they're personal (and honestly, AI is pretty creative). It doesn't take the human element out. It just beats a generic pop-out card. Building this also sharpened the AI work I do at GLF Analytics: connecting image-generation APIs into a real product, writing the code, and wiring up the automations behind it. There's a learning curve to all of it, but the real engine is just you and your ability to tell the AI what you want. Over 100 cards generated so far, and counting.
